@@@@@ Now You're Cooking! Export Format Peach Habanero Cookies none 3 c flour 2 t baking powder 1/2 t salt 2/3 c butter 1/2 c brown sugar 1 egg 1 t vanilla 1/3 c milk heavy cream turbinado sugar peach-habanero preserves Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until everything's in, and mix well. Form dough into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight. Roll out on floured board and cut into circles (or any other desired shape with a cookie cutter...I like to use a chile and a coyote). Put a teaspoon of preserves in the center of half of the cutouts and top with another cutout. Crimp edges with a fork sealing the filling in. Brush lightly with heavy cream and sprinkle with turbinado sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. I usually warn folks about the heat unless I know that they're chileheads like I am. ;) ~W ** Exported from Now You're Cooking! v5.57 ** |
