Tennessee Barbeque Sauce

none

1 medium onion; chopped fine
1 clove garlic; minced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Jack Daniel's whiskey
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
2 1/2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
2 dashes hot pepper sauce

Sauté onion and garlic in vegetable oil until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
