South Carolina Mustard Barbecue Sauce

none

2/3 cup yellow mustard
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
5 dashes Tabasco; or to taste
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons butter

Combine all ingredients except soy sauce and butter in a saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in soy sauce and butter.
