Non-Esoteric Coleslaw


1 small head green cabbage; shredded
1/2 small head red cabbage; ditto
3 medium-sized carrots; grated
1 medium-sized sweet onion; thinly sliced
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup Hellman's mayonnaise
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
3 tablespoons dried minced onion
freshly ground pepper to taste

Mix up the dressing and toss with the vegetables. Add more salt if necessary. Add more sugar if you're not a Yankee. Chill for a while. Eat with something a lot higher on the food chain.
