Texas Barbecue Sauce For Spareribs Or Chicken

none

1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
1 cup tomato juice or tomato sauce
1 lemon; juice of
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup diced onion

Mix all of the above in a saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes. Pour sauce over a single layer of chicken or spareribs in a baking tray. Bake at 350F until sauce is nearly evaporated, basting once or twice, about 1 1/2 hours.
