Tad's Barbecue Potatoes


5 pounds potatoes
4 large yellow onions
1/4 cup bacon drippings
20 ounces ketchup
1/2 cup Texas Pete hot sauce
1/3 cup sugar
salt and pepper; to taste

Peel potatoes and onions and cut into large chunks. Place in large pot and cover with water. Add remaining ingredients, stir to blend, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are soft.
