Steak Shake


1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons thyme
2 teaspoons oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon salt; (optional)
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 teaspoon ground red pepper

The lighter side of the story is this: I stumbled across a simple recipe for a steak seasoning that I've found to be quite good. There's nothing particularly tricky about it but it makes a dang good T-bone or ribeye whilst we wait for the clouds to clear. In the above proportions, mix. Brush lightly with olive oil, sprinkle on and press in spices on both sides then let steaks sit for 1 hour before grilling.
