Spicy Texas Barbeque Sauce

1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar; firmly packed
1/4 cup lime juice
2 tablespoons ground red chilies
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 cups chopped onion
2 jalapenos, seeded; finely chopped
2 cloves garlic; finely chopped
12 ounces tomato paste
12 ounces beer, any brand

Combine ingredients in a 2 quart saucepan and heat to boiling in a saucepan; reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 1 hour; stirring occasionally. Makes about 5 cups of sauce. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
