Export Format Smoky Black Bean And Corn Chowder none 1/2 cup yellow onions; chopped 4 tablespoons butter or margarine; melted 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon black pepper; freshly ground 1 1/4 teaspoons salt 4 cups milk 17 ounces whole kernel corn; canned, drained 4 smoked sausage links; sliced 8 ounces black beans; canned, drained In a saucepan, sauté onion in butter until tender but not brown. Stir in flour, salt and black pepper. Add milk, and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly, about 1 minute. Stir in drained corn, sausage slices and drained black beans.
