Export Format Smoked Chili Salsa none 1 can chipotle chilies in adobo sauce 2 cups boiling water 2 tablespoons tomato paste 1 tablespoon strong red wine or balsamic vinegar; more to taste 2 tablespoons brown sugar Blend the chilies and water together in a food processor or blender until smooth. Add the other ingredients and blend again. Taste and adjust the flavorings as desired. Serve salsa with beans, eggs or in soups. Makes 2 cups. Source: "The Savory Way" by Deborah Madison.
