Export Format Rodney's Hushpuppies none 3 1/2 cups white cornmeal 1 1/4 cups plain flour 2 tablespoons baking powder 2 teaspoons salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 3 large eggs; beaten 1 1/4 cups milk 2/3 cup onion; finely chopped 1 tablespoon sugar 1/2 cup oil or bacon grease Stir dry ingredients together. Combine eggs, milk, onion and oil together. Add to dry ingredients and stir until blended. Measure into stirring spoon (a little bigger than a Tablespoon) portions and place on trays. Fry in deep fryer at 350F for 3-4 minutes or until browned.
